Prepare to Present
Poster Presentation
All students graduating with honors present their capstone projects at an Honors Poster Presentation event. Poster presentations occur at the end of each semester, held in conjunction with the Honors Convocation event. Many students present their capstone research during their senior year but are encouraged to present as soon as their honors project is complete.
When you are ready to present your project, you need to complete a poster registration form to let the University Honors Program know you plan to present and your presentation needs. Presentation guidelines and helpful hints can be found in the presentation guidelines document. Consider reviewing the presentation resources available from the campuswide undergraduate research administrator as well. The university has a branded research poster template that you may choose to use, particularly if you plan to take the poster for presentation outside of Iowa State.
You will also need to complete and submit an electronic copy of the Project Abstract Acknowledgement Form. Complete this form as soon as possible because it will need to be routed to your project advisor for approval; the upper-division program assistant will handle the approval process.
